Had a chance to play with one today and it's pretty awesome. So easy to assemble, adjust and service. I think they should have called it the "MightyMini" instead. think I'll pick one up for BioPellets for my tank. Maybe they'll make a "DoubleMax" for bigger tanks, lol..

Not all ducklings can be turned into swans...

So I tried to convert my media reactor into a biopellet reactor and FAILED! Replaced the restricting foam discs with NPX screens, but still was not able to get the biopellets to tumble correctly.
Fortunately, all is not lost. I now have a modded-and-upgraded carbon/gfo reactors with Brightwell X-port NO3 in the second chamber. One step closer to low DOC's.. here are the pics of the upgraded duckling...

My ingenous contraption..

Okay, I'm officially declaring myself a genius. After uncessfully  searching a for a way to quiet down my overflow box (zip-tieing zip-loc bags... what! serious?#@&*)... I came up with my own! The bath scrubber work perfectly. Plus, they can be very easily removed and cleaned.
I think I deserve an award for this.. maybe a shiny tiara...fine, I'll settle for a gold-star sticker.

Snuck home for a quick nooner...

Received my clean-up crew order from reefcleaners.org this morning and just HAD to get them home ASAP.
Total of about 200 snails, 30 hermits, 4 totally awesome chitons and a variety of macroalgae for the refugium...

The curvaceous Bubble Magus Curve 7 is finally up and running....needed to cut a few pieces of PVC "legs" to elevate it a bit.
Also a dual-chamber media reactor  to keep the water crystal clear... hopefully :)

Bonsai...

Since it'll be a while till the tank is full of corals, figured that I'd try and make the rock work as "interesting" as possible.. Voila! My Bonsai!

2 MaxSpect Razors up, 3 days of making RO/DI water, 4 boxes of Fiji premium.. I'm finally cycling... Been adding Brighter MicroBacter7 religiously to speed up the process...
